- Matt's major-label Universal Records debut "Beneath These Fireworks" is now available for pre-order from the Aware store! The first 1000 orders get a special limited edition EP with 3 unreleased songs on it, featuring studio recordings of Matt along with his cellist, Matt Fish. Album is due to be released on October 14th, 2003.
- Matt's cover of the hit song "Laid" by the band James is going to be the first single from the new Universal Pictures movie American Pie 3: American Wedding soundtrack!

so i'm sure as most of you have noticed this forum has been attacked by morons who think its fun to takeover msg boards when no one is paying attention. well i may not be around.. and i may not be able to see (my eyes are messed up). but i'm here. and i will be making more of a presence here i somehow managed to be MIA so much so much that spammers have taken over. hopefully now that i'm sort of back ("sort of" meaning i'm not back as a normal person, but as a handicapped person with messed up eyes)
so yeah.. hopefully i'll be fixing things up around here soon

Hi all, Matt here.
Happy mid-May!
Spring has sprung, birds are singing, Britney's hair is growing back nicely...
and I am sending all you fine people the official word on my new CD!
It's been a whirlwind of activity here since we finished recording and mixing at the end of March, so, there is lot's to fill you in on...
First off, we've almost wrapped up a new record deal with a new label, Vanguard...
They're home to such great acts as Nickel Creek, Joan Osborne, Dolly Parton, Kim Richey....
It's going to be great to be at a label with such super creative, inspired, music people.
and it doesn't hurt that they totally LOVE my new record!
Which leads me to my next bit of news...
Recorded over the last 2 1/2 years (yikes), ladies and gentleman, I present to you:
"Some Mad Hope."
Yep. For those of you who haven't already heard through various leaks on the information
super highway, may I be the first to officially announce the title of my new record.
